Biography:

Erin Casey (she/her) graduated from Cornell College in 2009 with degrees in English and Secondary Education. She decided to expand upon her teaching knowledge by leading writing sessions at first for the Iowa Writers' House and now for The Writers' Rooms.

She attended the Denver Publishing Institute in 2009 and has been a recruiter ever since. She is the Director of The Writers' Rooms, a literary non-profit corporation that focuses on providing a free, safe environment to all writers no matter their skillset, race, gender, ability, and income. She teaches fantasy and science fiction lessons to her fellow writers and embodies the ideology that it’s important for writers to support and encourage other writers. An advocate for mental health, she has written several articles for The Mighty about anxiety and depression.

She's also a devoted bird mom.

When not volunteering and working, she's querying her LGBTQIA+ YA fantasy story, posting urban and regular fantasy on patreon and in anthologies, and sharing her literary journey on Instagram and Tiktok. She has released two urban fantasy books in The Purple Door District Series, The Purple Door District and Wolf Pit, with Book 3, A Game of Fae, set to be released in 2022.
